For a picnic or a special occasion, the butter basket remains a must-have during holiday seasons. Not suitable for freezing, the butter basket must be kept at a maximum positive temperature of 6°C to guarantee ideal preservation and optimal flavor retention. International transport is still possible at 6°C maximum storage conditions but, depending on the transit time, it will leave only a few weeks for consumption.
